Welcome to Thailand
In the 21st Century Thailand made a big impact on the tourism industry with Bangkok being listed as the most visited city in the world.
With over 24 million visitors in 2017, and over 22 million in 2018, Bangkok has maintained it's power house as the most popular tourist destination - and it is easy to see why. With 6 UNESCO heritage sites, over 40,000 temples and almost 31% of the kingdom's area being protected, Thailand is abundant with culture and history for any fanatics out there.
For animal lovers, they can visit the ancient city of Lopburi where macaque monkeys freely roam the streets or head up north to Chiang Rai, where you can visit the elephant sanctuary for the day or even stay overnight and experience being a caretaker to the majestic creatures.
To the South of Thailand, you have a plethora of beaches and islands to suit any mood from peaceful paradise to pumped up parties.
And finally, food. I think everyone can agree that Thailand is a utopia for food lovers. Bangkok embraces multicultural dishes alongside it’s native cuisines. A fusion of Japanese, Chinese, Italian and American food can be found on the same street.
This is to name but a few places that make Thailand unique. With Thailand recently opening their borders to the world again, you can now immerse yourself in Thai culture, food and history.
